"Brushstrokes of Affection - Mariana Maia and the Art of Eternalizing Bonds
In Mariana Maia's palette, each color has a story, each brushstroke is a narrative that transcends simple representation. The Brazilian artist, whose career spans over two decades, has found in her new phase of pet portraits an expression that goes beyond technique: she captures the essence, the soul, and the silent and deep bond that unites animals and their owners.
Mariana has always had a keen and sensitive eye for the world around her. Born and raised in an environment where art and communication intertwine, she followed a path that initially led her to graduate in Communications from the University of São Paulo (USP). But it was in the twists and turns of life, after completing her studies, that Mariana found the true voice of her soul: art. Abandoning academic conventions, she immersed herself in a universe of colors, allowing her hands to create what words could not express.
Each canvas is an intimate dialogue between her and the subject she portrays, especially now, when her attention turns to pets.
Mariana Maia’s contribution to the contemporary art scene is undeniable, with her presence in internationally renowned exhibitions. From the prestigious Context Art Gallery in Venice to the vibrant art scenes of Dubai and Lisbon, her works have enchanted collectors around the world.
His recent exhibitions include the Brazilian Art Exhibition at Gallery Arabesque in Dubai, his participation in World Art Dubai and his presence at the Art Symposium at Galleria Merlino in Florence, Italy. In addition, his works have been exhibited in galleries and events in cities such as London, São Paulo and several international art and design fairs.
